Meet The Artist

I was tagged on IG for #MeetTheArtist by Pocket Sized Observer. I have been wanting to do this for a while and had actually been working on a self portrait.

I've been working most of this summer on portraits in general, because it's something I want to start offering for commissions in my shop. It's one of the top things I get asked for, besides logos.

As I sketched everyday until my hand felt like it was going to fall off, I noticed my style has changed a bit and I'm really liking it. I am always amazed to see how my work has evolved over the years.

I am actually getting my hair done today! So I'm not sure if it will look exactly like this, but this is the overall look me and my hairstylist talked about. I'll post a picture on Instagram later today of my new hair!

I actually had a hard time coming up with dislikes. I'm sure I dislike plenty of things, but I had to dig deep for most of these so they may seem silly. And yes I really do not like chocolate cake (or ice cream or milk), but I will eat all your brownies. Weird, I know.

You can also find some of my favorite things on iphone cases, mugs, totes + tees in my Society6 shop!

What are some of your likes/dislikes? Have you ever made a self portrait? If so, I'd love to see it! Leave a link in the comments!

Harry Potter Mugs + Phone Cases are BACK!

A few months ago I decided to turn my Harry Potter watercolors into a pattern to use on Society 6 for mugs and phone cases. Unfortunately, I was trying to edit with an updated pattern and accidentally deleted it on the site with no hope for recovery.

Today, I finished up a new Harry Potter design, adding even more of your favorite characters! Now you can find Dobby, Hedwig, Snape, Neville, Ginny, and Sirius along with all the others!

Phone cases can be found here!

Mugs can be found here!

You can even get a print of this pattern, that I will not be offering in my shop.

In the works are bows and cute hair accessories made by Melanie from Violet's Buds using my Harry Potter pattern.

This is an example but not a finished product. Obviously the fabric I selected makes the pattern look blurry, but I hope to have a finished product for you guys by fall and definitely in time for Christmas!

In more HP news, I tested out a printer for some HP post cards and the quality was awful, but they're still pretty cute. I have 50 of these, so anyone who orders HP items from my shop will get a few free ones!

What products would you like to see with Harry Potter on them?! Let me know in the comments!

Snail Mail

Source (from left to right): Julie Ann Art, Twin Soul Art, Omiyage, Lemon Cat Shop

I am a huge fan of snail mail! I've always enjoyed having pen pals since I was a little girl, and I'm so glad that I'm a member of the International Geek Girls Pen Pal Club. If you're looking for a supportive group and love getting to know people the old fashion way, you should sign up for your very own pen pal!

Envelope and business cards from Lemon Cat Shop.

I often get asked where I buy all the cute things I use to decorate my envelopes + packages. I am a big supporter of shopping small! I love love shops that have amazing customer service and such kawaii products that I am constantly coming back and recommending them to all my friends.

Custom stamps made by Twin Soul Art

Julie Ann Art is one of my favorites to go to for cards! They are hilarious and perfect for my friends and family! She recently released this Snail Mail is my Jam tank (which you can see me wearing here) that is cute + comfy! She just moved her shop from Etsy to her own rad site, so go check it out!

Twin Soul Art makes awesome stamps, including the custom ones I use for my business. Jeanne is amazing and works with you every step of the way to make sure your order is perfect! There are also pre-made stamps in her shop for your everyday cute things too!

Omiyage is just an all around kawaii shop and any washi lovers dream! You just have to check it our for yourself!

Lemon Cat Shop is my go to place for all of my cute envelopes and other packaging that I use for my shop. It's easy for me to spend a fortune and hours looking through all the cuteness!
